Free Cooling (Waterside)

A mode of chiller plant operation in which cool ambient conditions allow condenser water to directly or indirectly cool chilled water without running the chiller compressor, using a heat exchanger or a cooling tower bypass arrangement. This can save substantial energy during cold weather operation.
