A rotating heat exchanger filled with desiccant or aluminum matrix media used in air-handling units to transfer both sensible heat and latent moisture between exhaust and supply airstreams for energy recovery. Rotation speed and purge sector design control the amount of energy transferred and limit cross-contamination.
