refrigerant blend composition shift

A change in the ratio of components in a zeotropic refrigerant blend that occurs when refrigerant leaks primarily as vapor, altering the remaining blend’s properties and system performance. Technicians must remove the entire charge and recharge with fresh refrigerant rather than topping off when significant leakage has occurred.
