Evaporative Cooling

A process that reduces air dry-bulb temperature by evaporating water directly into the airstream, trading sensible heat for latent heat and thus moving the air condition along a constant wet-bulb line on the psychrometric chart. It is most effective in hot, dry climates where significant wet-bulb depression exists.
