Frost Control Mode

An operational strategy used in HRVs and ERVs during very cold weather to prevent ice formation on the heat exchanger core by periodically reducing or stopping outdoor air intake or by preheating incoming air. Common methods include recirculation bypass, defrost cycles, and preheat coils.
