Hot-Wire Anemometer

A velocity measurement instrument that senses airflow by the convective cooling of a thin electrically heated wire, providing high sensitivity to very low air velocities and fast response to flow fluctuations. It is used for precise duct traverses and airflow research where vane instruments lack adequate sensitivity.
