Buck-Boost Transformer

A small autotransformer used to raise or lower line voltage by a small percentage, typically 5 to 20 percent, to compensate for voltage that is slightly above or below equipment nameplate requirements. They are commonly used to correct low voltage at the end of long distribution runs supplying HVAC equipment.
