Pumpdown

A service procedure in mini-split and VRF systems where the service valves on the outdoor unit are closed and the compressor runs briefly to draw the system refrigerant charge back into the outdoor unit before isolating it. This allows indoor unit or lineset work to be performed without full refrigerant recovery in systems that have service valves.
