Intercooler

A heat exchanger used in two-stage refrigeration or booster systems to cool the intermediate-pressure gas between the low-stage and high-stage compressors, improving efficiency and reducing discharge temperature. Intercoolers may also flash liquid refrigerant to further subcool the high-stage liquid line.
