A refrigeration arrangement using two separate refrigerant circuits at different temperature levels connected by a heat exchanger called a cascade condenser, where the low-stage circuit rejects heat into the high-stage circuit. Cascade systems enable operation at very low evaporating temperatures, such as those required for ultra-low-temperature freezers or cryogenic applications.
