Heat Gain vs. Cooling Load Distinction

The conceptual separation between the rate at which heat enters or is generated in a space and the rate at which the cooling system must remove heat to maintain setpoint. Radiant heat gains are absorbed by mass and released over time, creating a cooling load that lags and is smaller than peak instantaneous gain.
