The rectified and filtered direct current voltage present on the internal bus of a VFD, derived from the AC supply voltage and used as the energy reservoir for the output inverter stage. Monitoring DC bus voltage is important for diagnosing overvoltage trips caused by regeneration and undervoltage trips caused by supply sags.
