Decrement Factor

The ratio of the amplitude of the temperature fluctuation on the interior surface of a wall to the amplitude on the exterior surface, describing how much a massive assembly dampens temperature swings. A lower decrement factor indicates better attenuation of daily heat waves through the wall.
