EPA 608 Type I

One of the four certification categories under EPA Section 608 covering the service, maintenance, repair, and disposal of small appliances containing five pounds or less of refrigerant that are fully manufactured, charged, and hermetically sealed at the factory. Technicians in this category may work on equipment such as household refrigerators, window air conditioners, and water coolers.
