Industrial Heating

Last updated: March 11, 2026

Industrial heating encompasses heating systems and equipment designed to warm large spaces, maintain process temperatures, and support manufacturing operations in factories, warehouses, and production facilities. These systems differ from residential heating by handling higher volumes of air, operating at greater efficiencies, and supporting specialized industrial processes. Industrial heating solutions include unit heaters, infrared heaters, radiant tube heaters, and custom warm air systems.

System Types and Applications

Industrial facilities select heating systems based on building size, ceiling height, temperature requirements, and fuel availability. Gas-fired and electric heating solutions provide options for different operational needs and budgets. Systems range from 50,000 to 500,000 BTU capacity, with some large facilities using multiple units for zoned temperature control. Heating systems often integrate with general HVAC equipment to provide combined ventilation and temperature management.

Efficiency and Cost Optimization

Modern industrial heating systems achieve 75 to 95 percent efficiency ratings, reducing operational energy costs compared to older equipment. Zone heating allows facilities to warm only occupied areas, decreasing fuel consumption and environmental impact. Proper sizing, regular maintenance, and modern controls ensure consistent operation and extend equipment lifespan, providing long-term cost savings for manufacturing and warehouse operations.
