Inlet Guide Vanes

Adjustable vanes positioned at the inlet of a centrifugal compressor impeller that pre-spin the refrigerant vapor to throttle capacity and modify the compressor performance curve. They are the primary capacity control mechanism on most centrifugal chillers.
