Isolation Transformer

A transformer with separate primary and secondary windings that provides galvanic isolation between the input and output circuits, preventing direct current paths between systems. In HVAC control applications, isolation transformers are used to reduce electrical noise and protect sensitive electronic controls from power line transients.
