Refrigerant Loop Subcooling

The process of cooling liquid refrigerant below its saturation temperature before it reaches the expansion device, increasing the effective enthalpy difference across the evaporator and boosting system capacity. Additional subcooling in geothermal systems is achieved more easily due to available cool loop fluid temperatures.
