Supplemental Heat Lockout

A control feature that prevents electric resistance or fossil fuel backup heat from energizing until outdoor temperature falls below a user-defined threshold, forcing the heat pump to handle the entire load at milder temperatures. This maximizes heat pump run time and minimizes operating cost.
