Thermal Energy Storage (TES)

A system that produces and stores chilled water or ice during off-peak electrical periods and discharges stored cooling during peak demand hours to reduce utility costs and peak electrical demand. Common configurations include chilled water tanks and ice harvester or encapsulated ice systems.
