Variable Geometry Diffuser

An adjustable vane ring at the outlet of a centrifugal compressor that modulates refrigerant flow and pressure rise by changing the diffuser passage width. It extends the stable operating range and improves part-load efficiency compared to inlet guide vanes alone.
